The F.H. Ayres is Featured here in the Bow Rocker version, it is also available in a Safety Stand version, please see below for ordering details. The classic rocking horse and a firm favorite of the Victorian Nursery, the Dapple Grey is instantly recognizable by its outstretched legs and distinctive, irregular shaped spots. In the early 19th century the head was traditionally extended and lowered in the racing position. The Frederick Henry Ayres (1864-1940) produced many fine examples of this classic horse. The replica of the Ayres Horse is shown hear in tulip wood, featuring the fine legs the head offset to one side, and finished in hand-stippled Dapple Grey. It boasts a beautiful hand-crafted suede saddle with a velvet saddle blanket. Each horse is crafted to order and your personal specifications are welcomed. Dimensions: 63"L x 13"W x 38"H
